Glass Information
Setting: Glass takes place in modern time in the city of Reno.

Point of View: Glass is all Kristina's point of view in first person.

Summary: Kristina falls back into her addiction to meth in this sequel to Crank. She struggles to hide it with her baby, job, family, and new boyfriend. As the book progresses she falls deeper and deeper in to drug culture and even drug dealing.

Kristina

Protagonist: a high school senor who falls
back into meth a second time.

Bree

Antagonist: Kristina's alter-ego that leads her
back into meth use and tries to keep her there.

Trey

Kristina's new boyfriend. A meth user and dealer.

Kristina's Family

Loving and supportive but can't break Kristina
free of meth.

Conflict:

Kristina vs. Herself and her addiction: Through out the book Kristina struggles against her addiction and the extension of herself, Bree, who fights for it. I can't tell how this was resolved without giving away the ending.

Theme:
The theme of Glass is sometimes you need to depend on people who love you truely and not just yourself. It is shown in Kristina's family and how they loved her and wanted to help her but couldn't because Kristina only turned to herself, Bree.

About the Author:
Ellen Hopkins published Crank the first book in the story of Kristina in 2004. She has written more books on tough subjects like suicide and smoking since then.
